Biblical counseling: one believer using the Bible to counsel another.
Woodland Christian Church is committed to Biblical Counseling, which is the process by which one believer uses the Bible to counsel another believer. A more elaborate definition can be found here.
We believe that Christians are called to counsel, exhort, and encourage each other from the Scriptures. Additional training and a certification can be pursued for those interested in developing their counseling ability. WCC is committed to training and certification provided by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, or ACBC (formerly NANC).
We are glad to offer Biblical counseling to any requesting it. If you are a member of another church, we ask that you have your current pastor/elder contact us. We believe strongly in the protection and authority of the spiritual leadership that God has placed over the local church. If you are not a member of any church, we ask that you attend WCC while receiving counseling, because the counseling could draw on the sermons.
